The first family holiday of the year
Boy was this one needed.
This was a last minute bargain, 2 adults 2 children all-inclusive with flights and transfers in Fuerteventura £1300 for 5 days.
Flights booked, we only took backpacks as it was going to be warm.
5 days of summer clothes t-shirts, swimming trunks and a pair of shorts what else do you need!

A 4 hour flight from Bournemouth airport, we picked up some airport essentials (snacks!) then boarded the plane. Flights were with Ryanair so we prepaid for food on the flight for the four of us came to about £45.
In Fuerteventura, the transfer to the hotel was easy to find, a kiosk near the exit gave us directions to our coach, A 45 minute drive, our hotel was the first stop on the route, arriving at the hotel around lunchtime.

For this holiday we stayed at SBH Club Paraiso Playa
Great all-inclusive resort with entertainment for the kids, 3 pools, 2 Main and and children's pool, arcade/games room, gym, sauna, spa, pool bar and unlike some all-inclusive resorts this one was right on the beach front. All that separated us from hotel and beach was a wall a a staircase!
We were a little early for check-in (2pm) but the reception gave us our wristbands so we could go check out the lunch buffet.
Taking advantage of the extra time we had a look around so the kids could see what was on offer.

We essentially had a long weekend, Friday to Tuesday, and took full advantage!
Being all-inclusive we had very little reason to head out so after lunch and check-in on the Friday, with the sun shining the pool was calling.
After a 3am start to the day laying by the pool was a fitting reward.

We had a family room with a sea view, with an adjoining balcony between the two rooms.
The room was nice, slightly dated decor but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway to be fair. It was big enough for the four of us to sleep comfortably and the bathroom was a good size, the shower was good as well (first thing I usually check, as I can't stand a a shower with no pressure!)

The pool areas were also good size, with plenty of deck chairs to go around.
two main pools split on different levels, the upper level was next to the pool bar which provided snacks, drinks, cocktails.
The lower pool was bigger and had a larger lounging area. Beach towels were available from the reception for a deposit and the reception only accepted cash. You can also book the tennis courts at reception.
A gym overlooked the pool, which was handy as the kids decided they wanted to go try it, only allowed to use the machines we could see, no weight lifting!

We took full advantage of the break, with our days spent eating and relaxing. The buffet breakfast was great with plenty on offer, the kids loved the amount of pastries and the fact they could have as many as they wanted, provided they ate what they put on there plates, and to be fair they were very good at not overloading and going back if they wanted a bit extra. Me on the other hand loaded up and ate the plate! Lunch and dinner was the same, a great variety of food choices and the dessert bench, that's the only way I can describe it. It had slightly different desserts each day but included a chocolate fountain, ice-cream, cakes, mousse, jelly, there was a lot to choose from.

The evening entertainment starts with kids shows, with the adult entertainment staring around 9pm. Live music, quizzes, disco's the resort offer different entertainment each night, some with audience participation which includes naming and singing a song!

We had such a great time and the kids loved it too which was brilliant, being our first all-inclusive we are already planning our next one.
SBH Club Paraiso Playa was a hit with us all, the facilities, the food, the entertainment and of course the staff who were so helpful and great with the kids, fully recommend trying this place. A great break for families and couples.

Final Thoughts
An all-inclusive which offers family friendly atmosphere with a beach escape, ideal location for anyone looking for relaxation mixed with evening entertainment. We got lucky booking at the last minute and getting a sea view, but glad we found this place and will be returning. Next time we will make the most of the excursions on offer but this trip was a well deserved relax and chill holiday.
